1 SHIMLA TO SANGLA (240 km, 9-10 Hours) In the morning pickup from volvo point Shimla enroute towards the next destination, the alluring Sangla.
2 SANGLA SIGHTSEEING Total sightseeing duration - 3 Hours
Today covering exciting and interesting places like Rakcham and Chitkul Village.
Rakcham(Approximate Duration: 1 Hour) : The beautiful village is situated at an elevation of 2900 Meters above the sea level. The beautiful village is located midway between Sangla and Chitkul Village.
Chitkul Village(Approximate Duration: 2 Hours) : Located at an altitude of 3450 Meters. It is the last inhabited village near the Indo-China border. The Indian road ends here. Potatoes grown at Chitkul are one of the best in the world and are very costly.
3 SANGLA TO TABO (180 km, 7-8 Hours) Total sightseeing duration - 3 Hours
Enjoy the magnificent vistas all day and head on for Tabo and on the way visit Nako Lake, Nako Monastery and Gui Mummy.
Nako Lake(Approximate Duration: 1 Hour) : It is a small reservoir with its pristine natural beauty. The Lake is surrounded by willow and popular trees which makes it more beautiful.
Nako Monastery(Approximate Duration: 1 Hour) : The monastery has four large and spacious halls and is the oldest hall is the ‘Dukhong’. The wall of this hall has a decoration of complete mandala and on East side another hall which is smaller in size.
Giu Mummy(Approximate Duration: 1 Hour) : The mummy found at Giu is 550 years old. It was found by the I.T.B.P. at Giu village while digging for a border post along china. This Giu mummy is kept in a small room with a door closed most of the time which one may call it a temple or monastery because the mummy was once a Buddhist monk, wandering this part of the Himalayan range.
4 TABO TO KAZA (50 km, 1-2 Hours) Total sightseeing duration - 7 Hours
Today covering the oldest monasteries Tabo and Dhankar Monastery and UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE Pin Valley National Park.
Tabo Monastery(Approximate Duration: 2 Hours) : It is situated at an altitude of 3050 meters. It founded by the great scholar Richer Zangpo in the year 960 A.D. It is one of the most important Buddhist monasteries that are regarded by many as only next to the Tholing Gompa in Tibet.
Dhankar Monastery(Approximate Duration: 1 Hour) : The monastery is around 1000 years old and houses around 150 Lamas. It has ancient murals, thangkas and Buddhist scriptures that are worth seeing.
Pin Valley National Park (Approximate Duration: 4 Hours) : It is the only cold desert National Park located in Himachal Pradesh. It was declared as the National Park in January 1987 and covers an area of 675 Sq.Km and has a buffer zone of 1175 Sq. Km.
Flora : Birch, Juniper, Myricaris Scrubs and Betula utilis etc.
Fauna: Siberian Ibex, Weasels, Red Fox, Tibetan Gazzel, Himalayan Marmot, Blue Sheep etc.
5 KAZA SIGHTSEEING Total sightseeing duration - 4 Hours
Today covering the beautiful and ancient monasteries like Key Monastery and Komic Monastery.
Key Monastery(Approximate Duration: 2 Hours) : It is the biggest center of Buddhist learning situated at an elevation of 4166 meters above the sea level. It is a home to around 300 Lamas who receive their religious education. The monastery has the collection of ancient murals and books.
Komic Monastery(Approximate Duration: 2 Hours) : It is situated in Komic village which is one of the highest villages in Asia. It is one of the biggest and oldest monastery.
6 KAZA TO KALPA (210 Kms, 9-10 Hours) After exploring the immense beauty of Lahaul and Spiti now enroute towards the beautiful town, Kalpa.

7 KALPA TO NARKANDA: (220Kms, 9-10 Hours) In the morning see the amazing view of Kinner Kailash and Shiv temple & enroute to Narkanda. (Enroute to Narkanda around 11 AM)
Kinner Kailash View : Also known as Kinner Kailash has a height of 6050 Meters and is considered as sacred by Hindu and Buddhist Kinnauries. Jarkander is the highest peak in Kinner Kailah Range at an elevation of 6478 Meters.
Shiva Temple : The temple is situated at the elevation of 2438 Meters dedicated to Lord Shiva with the beautiful Kinner Kailash at the back.
Bhima Kali Temple: The temple is dedicated to the mother Goddess Bhimakali. The temple is one of 51 Shakti Peethas. The town Sarahan is known as the gate way of Kinnaur. Sarahan is identified with the then Sonitpur mentioned in Puranas.
8 NARKANDA TO SHIMLA & DROPPING AT VOLVO POINT Today exploring the beautiful places like Hatu temple and Tanni Jubbar Lake. (Early morning)
Hatu Peak : Located at an altitude of 3400 m. The peak is famous for ancient Hatu Mata Temple dedicated to Mandodri, the wife of Demon King Ravana. The peak is surrounded by dense woods.
Tanni Jubbar Lake : It is a small artificial oval shaped shallow mass of water. The entire area around the Lake is enclosed by a thick forest of Oak trees.
